Chocolate Brownie with Berry Sauce and Whipped Cream

Sticky Swedish Chocolate Cake

Delicious as a dessert or a sweet treat with coffee. It's a no-fuss fudgy brownie you can prepare in a single bowl.

 1 ⅓ cups Sugar
 2 Eggs
 ½ cup Flour
 ¼ cup Cocoa powder
 1 pinch Salt
 ½ cup Butter (melted)
 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
Berry sauce
 500 g Berries - fresh or frozen
 ¼ cup Sugar

Preheat oven to 325ᴼF (160ᴼC) and line a 20 cm round baking dish with baking paper.

In a bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until the mixture is pale yellow in colour.

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold in until well mixed.

Stir in the melted butter and vanilla.

Pour batter into paper lined pan and smooth out. Batter will be very thick.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the top has hardened. (The centre should still be soft).

The sauce

In a pan heat the berries and sugar and simmer till cooked to your liking.

Serve the slices of cake with berry sauce and top with whipped cream or Greek yoghurt.
